Spring and Autumn Series of FIDIC Contracts Seminars Concluded

 April 17, 2026

Howard Kennedy’s International Construction team has successfully concluded its Autumn and Spring FIDIC Contracts Seminars Series, delivered in collaboration with Cornerstone Seminars. Both series offered an eight‑week exploration of key issues relating to FIDIC Contracts  and dispute resolution. Topics included:

  • The Fair and Neutral Engineer
  • Design Responsibilities
  • Delay Claims
  • Claims for Money
  • FIDIC 1999 and 2017/2022

Each 90-minute session featured expert speakers – Victoria Tyson, Jo Clarke, Gabriel Mulero Clas, James Reader, and Edward Corbett – and included a talk, interactive workshop, and dedicated time for Q&A and discussion. The sessions were designed to engage directly with the contractual, procedural and strategic issues faced in practice.

Participants in the Spring and Autumn Series found the sessions ‘useful for [their] career development’, ‘truly insightful’, where they ‘learned how to approach FIDIC from a few more angles than before.’

The Autumn and Spring Series together reflect Howard Kennedy’s ongoing commitment to delivering high‑quality, practitioner‑focused specialist training in international construction law and FIDIC contracts, with future programmes planned to continue building on this foundation – particularly the upcoming FIDIC Contracts Claims Masterclass, to be delivered in June 2026.

Testimonials for the Autumn Series

  • ‘Thank you very much for organising today’s workshop and for your excellent presentation. I found it truly outstanding, as it offered a comprehensive overview of design risk allocation and succinctly addressed one of the most debated aspects of FIDIC-based contracts. I greatly appreciated the wrap-up and the further reading sources you shared. Beyond today’s excellent session, it is a real pleasure to see Edward’s expert team, dedicated to the 1999 FIDIC, continuing to develop as a strong and long-term unit within Howard Kennedy.’
